Great opportunity to hear the stories of teens in our neighborhood tomorrow evening at the Walking Fish Theatre:

This info is quoted from the official Press Release for “Of Mythic Proportions” (You can read the whole press release at http://www.theatrealliance.org/bsomeday-news-01042010):

B. Someday Productions of Kensington/Fishtown, in partnership with Mariana Bracetti Academy High School will present the culmination of a semester’s work with the students at a Public Performance on Thursday, January 21. There will be two performances: 4:00pm and 6:00pm. The performance, entitled “Of Mythic Proportions” was created from the 9th-12th grade student’s personal stories about growing up in Kensington and how violence has become a part of their lives. The students will perform their work at The Walking Fish Theatre, 2509 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125 for the community and the general public. In addition to the performance, there will be a short discussion raised by the topics in the stories, with a chance for the audience to interact with the performers. Following the workshop will be a reception with refreshments. The cost is free.
